Daniel Neer
Tenor Daniel Neer has performed extensively in a diverse range of classical and theatrical repertoire. Concert highlights include engagements at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Guggenheim Museum, Morgan Library, Radio City Music Hall, The Apollo, Chicago Art Institute, Aspen Music Festival and some of his NYC collaborations include Rebel Baroque Orchestra, Metropolis Ensemble, Vox Vocal Ensemble, Ekmeles, Two Sides Sounding, Vertical Player Repertory and Mark Morris Dance Company. In the arena of new music, Daniel has premiered works at Royal Opera House Covent Garden ROH II, American Repertory Theater, Ostrava Days Festival, American Opera Projects, Experiments in Opera, Center for Contemporary Opera, New York City Opera and the Prototype Festival. Broadway credits include Baz Luhrmann’s La Bohème and the National Theatre’s Coram Boy, directed by Melly Still. He has portrayed over 100 roles in theater, opera, operetta and musical theater, receiving critical acclaim for his diverse range of characterizations, and has recorded for Dreamworks, Albany, Newport Classics and Naxos. He trained The Ohio State University, The Royal Academy of Music in London, England, and the University of Michigan.
