Canterbury Choral Society is a Choir group located in the Upper Eastside of Manhattan.
Canterbury Choral Society has been rehearsing and performing at Church of the Heavenly Rest since its founding in 1952. It became an independent not-for-profit arts association in 1988, and is a 501(c)(3) choral group dedicated to performing great choral music with full orchestra accompaniment.
The final performance of this season will feature the chorus performing Mass in D Major by Antonín Dvořák and several British choral and organ Works with a royal theme, in honor of the royal wedding. The choral works include Parry’s I Was Glad, Howells’s Like As the Hart, and Mathias’s Let All the People; the organ soloist will be Alistair Reid.
The concert will be held at Church of the Heavenly Rest, Fifth Avenue at 90th Street, New York, NY, at 4pm on May 20, 2018.
